14 and 1/2 weeks

I'm counting down the weeks until we get to see the baby we have decided to call Brennan. I'm 24 weeks this week and I just learned that I can have my c-section 1 week before I'm due, how merciful! I don't even have to go the full 40.

My 24 week doctors appointment went well. I was worried I'd get tossed in the hospital like I did several times with Sara but luckily I passed all the tests. The only thing I ended up needing was a b-12 shot.

In other news, Sara and I got the garden planted. This was weighing heavily on my mind so I'm glad that we're done. Now if everything will just sprout and not freeze we should have sugar snap peas, beets, onions, spinach, and lettuce in a few months. My indoor seedlings are looking really great too. Indoors we've got all manner of herbs, basil, peppers, and tomatoes going.
I'm thankful every year for how much produce we get out of our yard, combined with the fruit trees (peach, apple, pear, and cherry) it's quite a bounty. I just hope we have time to harvest all of it this year.

The other thing that is weighing heavily on my mind is getting Sara moved into her new room. Brennan's room is pretty much done, he will inherit all her old baby stuff. Luckily with her we went with a blue sea life theme which will work fine for a boy.

We are going to make Sara a new owl room. We are going to try to make her room look like this. We're gutting the office room and painting one wall yellow and putting up an owl wall mural. I'm glad my Mom is coming out in May to help me get all this done.

Also we are hopefully having a huge garage sale soon to really clear out the house.

In yet other news, Dan sold his Harley. I was actually really amazed that he did it. I thought when it came down to it he wouldn't be able to let it go. It was sad to see it go but I was also relieved at the same time and he seemed to feel the same way. I wish I could have taken a few more rides on it before it went but maybe someday we'll have a bike again.

Dan decided to use some of the money to upgrade our TV which was about 10 years old and he's so excited about the new set-up. We got a plasma TV that he wall mounted and it looks awesome. Also we can connect it up to the computer and it's like a giant computer monitor with a wireless keyboard. It's great for streaming movies in HD. Like he says, it feels like we have finally entered the 21 Century.
