Is watching plants grow more interesting that watching paint dry? In my opinion, yes. Here is a photo diary of the garden plants that we are growing this year.
So you plant the seeds in these little peat pots and in a few days they sprout and in about three or four weeks they are little seedlings like the ones below :

Then in another three or four weeks they out grow their little peat pots and you replant them into bigger pots.
Munkey had fun this year helping us re-pot the tomatoes :

For some reason this year I have massive tomato and basil plants. Once they are big enough and once it is warm enough during the day, they can start going outside to get some weatherizing.

My Step-Mom just got us some cool garden products we are going to try that reflect red light up on the plants and some water greenhouse tents so that we can plant the tomatoes early.
It's looking like we are going to have an awesome garden this year so far! Next year I think I want to concentrate more on planting flowers from seed, which I have never really done before, so it should be fun.

Love those "walls of water" for the cold spring planting in Utah!
Fun. We just replanted a bunch of stuff too. It exciting to eat stuff you grew yourself.
