Also today we saw more Eagles, two were flying over my head. It's so amazing to see them back there. The day before we skied the campground loop and skied past a golden eagle right above us in a tree twice before we saw him. It's such a cool area and worth going to just to see those eagles. I hope to get some good pics of them before too long.

Skiing in Red Rock.
Today we skied in Diamond Fork again, down the main road. We drove as far as we could to where the road was no longer being plowed. Soon we were way back into a serene powdery environment surrounded by red rock. We skied about 3 miles while Sara slept, then turned around and skied back while she was awake, but she did not complain. She gets all Zen-like in her trailer, I think the skiing lulls her into the zone. For whatever reason she seems to like it and we love it.

Chariots of snow
For Sara's Christmas present we got her a Chariot ski trailer/bike trailer. Today we tried out the ski trailer in Diamond Fork. We were unsure whether everyone would be happy with the trailer but luckily she liked it and we did too.
It's a cute little trailer with Rossignal Skis attached to the bottom and then we wear a harness that you attach around your waist. It has a really nice enclosed cabin for Sara to sit in with a harness, plenty of room for blankets and toys, and plastic wind resistant covers that you can let down or just mesh ventilation.
Here is Dan pulling her around the campground loop.

Here are some pics of Sara enjoying her Chariot ride. You can make out the smiles and the open mouth from inside the trailer.

We also skied right near the bald eagle again but I tried not to get too close to disturb him. I need to bring my better camera next time. Also I saw a golden eagle but didn't get a pic. Who knew that this place I love, 10 minutes from the house, is packed with eagles in the winter.
We skied for about a hour and a half and then called it quits.
Everything was loaded back into the truck and it all fits.
Then to top off a great day there was an amazing sunset when we got home.

Goblins for Thanksgiving
I'm finally getting around to this post from Thanksgiving.
The day after our fantastic dinner. we headed down to Goblin Valley State Park with M&M for a post-turkey day hike.
When we arrived the temperature was just warming up and the goblins were all misty.
It was such a surreal place. None of us had ever been so it was our first time to explore the area. It went on forever, there were many valleys of goblins and the best part is that there are no established trails so you can climb them at will. The day we were there, it was extra muddy and that made it extra challenging and fun!

I can't wait to go back when Sara is able to climb the goblins!
